Seriously EP, Better Without You
This is 4 tracks of pop-punk offered up from Philadelphia. It’s sugar coated, college rock style stuff, with a nod towards Wheatus, Never Heard Of It and NFG. It’s also free to go grab off the band’s website, which is always nice to see. In an era when this kind of stuff maybe isn’t flying off the shelves the way it did 5, 6. 7 years ago, it is the best way to get heard, so kudos to ‘em for that.

This lot do deserve a listen too. It’s nothing that hasn’t been done before, but it’s that polished kind of a sound that everyone fancies a bit of now and again. The first 3 tunes all have a nice, old school Drive Thru feel to them. The 4th one is a bit of a duff, live, acoustic track but it all hints at a band finding their feet.

Have a look up for this band on myspace if this kind of thing floats your boat. It’s free, innit?
