The Sad History of the Village of Alnerique, DARTZ!
I'm in the minority. I've never really got everyone's love of Dartz! and I find them bemusingly overrated. The last EP was fun in short doses but wore off real quick. Not as off the wall as bands like The Next Autumn Soundtrack before them, not as poppy as The Maple State and not as good as Tellison, Dartz! seem to be loved by every PT reader. Except me. I was therefore willing to give this new 8-tracker a try to see if the band could either grow on me or change my mind. They do neither. If anything I like them even less. The vocals are weak, there are few dance-able moments or singalong choruses - I just don't get what other people see in them.

And I'm fully aware I'm in the minority and I know there will be some strange responses in the forums, but I genuinely just don't get it. 'Oskar and Ofelia' and 'The Clandestine Choir' are the best of an exceedingly average bunch. There's little to get excited about; no energy, no passion and nothing to get me going. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, if I am please point me in the right direction.
