Asleep at the Switch, Young Hollywood
Glasstone's output in recent times, in my opinion, has been dire and this record hardly makes them a candidate for label of the year. I was critical of Young Hollywood a year ago for ripping off Gallows and this new four-tracker rips them off further. The vocals may even have been by frank carter (if he'd recorded them just as he got out of bed) they're so influenced by him. The riffs are predictable and generic. The songs actually all sound the same. This is so lifeless and predictable and obvious it's a crime a label is actually supporting it. Why can't bands do something themselves rather than borrow and steal from more successful acts? Gallows caught the attention of the music media at a point in time and that point in time was 18 months ago. It's time to move on bands, stop ripping others off and think for yourself.
