From Graves to Grace, Ghosts on Pegasus Bridge
Like many bands at the minute, Ghosts on Pegasus Bridge decided to shun label offers and instead have put out this EP DIY. This five-track EP is a decent showcase to a band that started life on the south coast of England in 2006. There are Thrice-esque guitar riffs, some Underoath style vocal melodies and heavier parts which would suit a band like, say, Misery Signals. What sets this band apart from many of their contemporaries is that they are technically proficient - very much so actually - and so the song structures are impressive and the guitar work fantastic.

Take the closing 'The City Upon A Driftwood World: Part 1' which is on the epic side, a sprawling six-minute long effort that builds, twists, gets loud, quiet and everything in between. And while the band do shout and scream they don't overdo it. There's a nice balance here which means they don't fall into the trap many others do. 'Chapters' is another standout song, but to be fair none of them are bad. A couple are slightly on the generic side, but they're done well enough not to grate too much over the course of an EP.

As an introduction to the band this does the job and showcases a talented bunch of lads with a bright future. If they steer clear of cliches and build on what they've got, they could do well.
