Citizen KeyneIf there's any genre I hate the most, it's this faux-Sex Pistols anarchist bullshit that's still circulating more than 30 years after it was relevant. It's not that Citizen Keyne are bad musically - they're pretty generic and devoid of any new ideas - but their message is so horrendously cliched and riddled with lyrics my friend's three week old baby could better. It's so utterly pathetic that it makes 'Ungreat Britain' an absolutely terrible listen as every cliched lyric about 'down with the 'man'' is played out to a few cobbled together riffs. Up the Punx and all that.
The vocals are shamelessly ripped off Johnny Rotten, while the song titles ('Lies', 'Chavs' and 'Pinstripe Pigs' for example) put the message on the table in such an overtly laughable way I had to turn off half way through my first listen. Citizen Keyne are about as effective as the BNP - all mouth, no real politics.
