The Attika State unveil video for new song, ‘Sticks and Glue’

By Aaron Lohan

We are pleased to premiering the video to Bristol band The Attika State’s new song, ‘Sticks and Glue’.

The track starts off with a fragile intro before bursting into an anguished heart wrenching blend of indie rock. It adds a rather intriguing emotive shroud over the video, which for the most part features a dog shaking its fur dry.

“It originally sat as an acoustic demo, sort of half shelved until we started playing as a band again,” explains guitarist Warren Mallia. “I remember playing the acoustic demo to Rudi (lead singer) in the car on the way to practice who immediately said we needed to make it a band song. I still wasn’t entirely convinced, but sure enough, the whole thing came together really quickly. The totally nuts bass line, harmonious guitars and drum patterns all pretty much came out straight away and before we knew it, it was done!”

‘Sticks and Glue’ is the opening track from The Attika State’s upcoming new EP ‘Take It Easy On Those Corners Baby’. This will be released on one side of an upcoming 12″ which features My First Tooth’s final EP ‘Shipwreck Blues’ on the other side. It is available this Friday 3rd November via The Lost Music Club. The band will also be playing the following shows with My First Tooth’s Ross Witt and FutureLives.
