Mood Board: Nervus

Here is a mood board for ‘Everything Dies’ by Nervus. The mood board itself was actually designed by Megan Andrew who did the layout for the album and guest vocals on ‘It Follows’.

Type O Negative

Hahahahahahaha. We hope you enjoyed our little joke there. Everything Dies and Love You To Death are two of the best songs ever written and usually get played at least twice each on every Nervus van journey.

Pizza
At the risk of sounding like a complete punk cliche we actually really like pizza. Our first show we spent all the money we got paid on pizza because we just love pizza. The shitter the pizza the better as well. I think that pizza is a food for sharing, and creates a real sense of community, which is important, or something. Just pizza though really. Paul likes stuffed crust and some good garlic dip. I quite like a margherita with olives. Jack will usually go for a cheese pizza with cheese. Karl likes pizza too.
Rocky 4
Rocky 4 is the only reason we exist as a band. It’s motivation, inspiration, perspiration. Living in America. Burning Heart. If he dies, he dies. Also the cold war! Fronted by James Brown. It’s like everything bad rolled up into everything good filtered through bad again. Happy Birthday Paulie.

Blue Moon / Beck’s Blue
Beer. I don’t drink so I drink Beck’s Blue or any alcohol free beer but Paul, Karl and Jack love to drink Blue Moons and scream at each other. They call it a Lunar Eclipse. Also the pub opposite where me and Paul live serves something called ‘The Grand Blue Moon’ and it’s basically Blue Moon with something else in it that makes them scream even louder.
Panpipes
Anything with panpipes. If you search for Standing In The Way Of Control by Never Mind The Pan Pipes you can guarantee you’ll never want to listen to anything else ever again. Gossip are one our all time favourite bands but I think that if the entire band were MIDI instruments fronted by MIDI panpipes they would have done a lot better. Everything Dies doesn’t have any panpipes so just imagine them.
