Casual Friday premiere powerpop fuelled debut album, ‘Weekend Forever’

We at Punktastic are exclusively streaming ‘Weekend Forever’, the forthcoming debut album from Casual Friday.

This South Cali group revel in pop fuelled alt rock stylings that fans of Weezer and Piebald would enjoy.

“‘Weekend Forever’ is an album that came out of frustration with genres and songwriting,” elaborates guitarist/vocalist Zach Miller. “Before this album I had always tried writing about topics I thought people would care about, but for ‘Weekend Forever’ I wrote about subjects that I thought were interesting, funny, or things that made me angry. I wanted to ditch any and all of the seriousness that came with being in a band and just have fun with it. I wanted to create an album that embodied the spirit of what our band was and at the end of that process we ended up with Weekend Forever, an album name that I now have tattoo’d on my legs, in the spirit of an eternal weekend.”

‘Weekend Forever’ by Casual Friday will be released this Friday 21st July through Open Door Records, Hidden Home Records, Counter Intuitive Records and Celebrity Punk House. You can pre-order it here.
