Bare Teeth charge ahead on debut EP, ‘First the Town, Then the World’

By Aaron Lohan

We are exclusively unveiling ‘First the Town, Then the World’, the debut EP from Bare Teeth.

Based in Lille, France, these fast paced melodic punks have made an seven track EP that covers the band’s reflected experiences and opinions on the personal and socio-political.

“It took us almost a year to get it recorded, mixed and mastered,” explains the band. “We had several issues as JayJay, our former bass player, left the band in March 2016, but also broke his right thumb at the same time, so he couldn’t record with us. Tom only joined in September 2016, so it took a little time for him to learn all the songs, work on some backing vocals and get everything recorded. So, we’re quite happy that this record is about to get released!”

The making of the EP also saw the band work with their figures who shaped their sound. With mixing from A Wilhelm Scream’s Trevor Reilly and a guest appearance from Belvedere’s Steve Rawles on ‘These Towns Need Guns’, Bare Teeth do have confident backing from the best in the genre.
