Last week we announced the return of singer-songwriter and punk guitarist Dave House under the name Permanent Record. Following on from ‘The Vision’, House is now streaming his new track, ‘I Can’t Believe You’re A Fireman’. It will appear on his forthcoming ‘Everyone Is Happy Now’ LP, due on the 13th May.
“Itâs been 7 years since my last solo album and so much has changed for me, both personally and musically,â House explained when making the announcement. âWith this album I felt the need to start afresh with a new name and approach to songwriting.”
“âEveryone Is Happy Nowâ is the most varied record Iâve made, there are a few tracks that wouldnât be out of place on âIntersectionsâ but on the whole I think it builds upon everything Iâve made in the last 15 years,â he continued. âItâs also the first record Iâve made entirely alone, both playing and producing.â
