David Bazan resurrects Pedro the Lion

By Aaron Lohan

David Bazan has revived his former project Pedro the Lion.

Bazan originally formed the Seattle, WA indie rock/emo band in 1995. He was the main creative force behind it, backed by a varying rotation of musicians. They released four albums and five EPs through Jade Tree Records, the last records being fourth album ‘Achilles Heel’ and the Tour EP in 2004 and the ‘Stations EP’ in 2005. The project would eventually dissolve in 2006, once Bazan would go solo.

So far, only four US dates have been confirmed. Bazan has stated that new material under the Pedro the Lion name is a possibility. Fingers crossed for some UK/EU dates in future.
