Northampton post punks Bauhaus have announced that they will be releasing a new book, entitled ‘Bauhaus Undead – The Visual History and Legacy of Bauhaus’.

The book features various artwork, flyers, hand written lyrics, backstage passes, fan club material, contracts, photos and much more detailing the history of the band in a visual way, with recollections by founding member and drummer Kevin Haskins. It will be shipped in mid December via Cleopatra Records and can be pre-ordered here.

Bauhaus were a highly influential band in the post punk scene of the late 70s and early 80s, playing a key role in the making of the gothic rock genre. They were active from 1978 to 1999, releasing four albums that would go on to influence the likes of Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, My Chemical Romance, AFI, and more. The band would reform for a world tour in 1998, then would be active again from 2005 to 2008, where they would release their fifth and final album ‘Go Away White’ on Cooking Vinyl (UK) and Bauhaus Music (ROW).
