Originally released as a 12-inch, this is now available on CD and sounds like Gang of Four given a sick and twisted, and An American Obsession – S/T Coming from the same stable as DARTZ! and The New Lev Yashin, An American Obsession recorded this blinding 5-tracker at the same studio as My Favourite Co-Pilot did their first EP. And that’s not the only comparison for those yearning for a Irrelevant – Demo 2005 I’m usually good at remembering decent bands that I’ve reviewed for Punktastic, so I was a little miffed when I read Irrelevant‘s biography as it had a quote I had given – yet I couldn’t remember giving it or the band’s name! Maybe I’m Kamikaze Sperm – SBC EP Firstly, what a great name. Secondly, what a pretty decent band to boot. I’ll readily admit that Kamikaze Sperm are not the type of band I would usually choose to listen to, but I was pleasantly surprised by the ‘SBC’ EP. The songs are Blink to reform for summer festivals – EXCLUSIVE! Punktastic can exclusively reveal that Tom Delonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker will reunite for some one-off festival appearances this summer. The threesome are billed to headline the mainstage at the Carling festivals at Reading and Leeds over the Bank Holiday weekend in August, under the alias Show a little backbone You can see and hear the new Hit The Lights e-card at http://ecards.tenminutemedia.com/hitthelights/ Eisely say bye on sundays Eisley and helloGoodbye are now confirmed as supports on the Taking Back Sunday UK tour. Nap Kidnappers – Inner Media Oooh, my indie-rock sense is tingling. It takes a while to find it, but it’s there somewhere. It’s probably like my musical prostate gland, or something. Anyway, strange review openings aside, the Nap Kidnappers EP Inner Media gave a pretty decent account of itself. After listening Friday 31 March 2006 Ghostly If you;re in a band, run a label or just like making stickers, head on over to www.myspace.com/phantomscreen – they’re cheap as chips and top blokes to boot!
