Phoenix, Zebrahead
imageZebrahead certainly seem to give the UK their fair share when it comes to touring and this new album will probably see the band hit the toilet circuit in earnest. 'Phoenix' doesn't deviate too much from the band's tried and tested formula, a sound which mixes up pop, rock, ska and very small elements of rap to give a powerful and catchy album that will stick in your head for quite some time.

Opener ' HMP' sets the tone as the dual vocals trade blows and the riffs bounce off the walls. While there's very little deviation the band know what they are good at and stick to it - why change a winning formula? At 16 songs you could argue this record is a couple too heavy, but it certainly gives value for money and long term fans will be won over by the band's energy and enthusiasm. 'Death by Disco' and 'Hell Yeah!' are anthems in waiting and perfect for that hot summer's day. If you're looking for that good time party album you've just found it.
