Super Goliath are ready to subject you to excessive sonic barbarism

By Ben Tipple

Bristol duo Super Goliath describe their ‘Destroyer, Destroy, Destroyed’ release as “excessive sonic barbarism.” Presenting itself as a single, thirty-plus minute track, the record is just that. Taking its time to build, when the doom kicks in it’s a cleverly challenging, relentless assault on the senses. There’s no restbite from the sludgy noise, dominated by heavily distorted riffs.

“We couldn’t be happier with the sound of this record,” the duo admit, before adding that they can’t wait to subject the public to the sound. It has even led Bristol legend Big Jeff to declaring Super Goliath as “the loudest band I have ever seen.”

If you like things sludgy, barbaric and loud, Super Goliath are ready to melt your face off.

Super Goliath will be playing a launch show at Bristol’s Stag & Hounds as part of the BBC 6Music Festival Fringe on Friday 12th February 2016.
