Stream the new split from Everyone Leaves and Hot Mulligan

By Maryam Hassan

Get into the weekend with the new split from Midwest Emo Punks Everyone Leaves and Hot Mulligan. The split is out today via Save Your Generation Records and Little Heart Records and you can listen to it below:

We had a little chat with both bands…

How did you guys get together to do this split?

Both of us are good friends with the guys in Human After All and heard about each other through them. We both had some music we were looking to put out around the same time, started talking about potentially doing a split, and it just all worked out.

If you could introduce the other band on the split how would you describe them?

EL: Hot Mulligan is like sing along music you wish you had when you were 15 and hanging out with your friends in your bedroom.

HM: Have you ever felt sorry for something you couldn’t do anything about? That’s Everyone Leaves in a nutshell.

What are you main influences?

EL: Astronautalis, Have Mercy, and The Cure are big for us.

HM: We draw a lot of inspiration from Tigers Jaw, older Taking Back Sunday, You Blew It, and Modern Baseball
What are your plans for the rest of the year?

EL: We’re going to play every show and release hella music.

HM: New music. More touring. It’s going to be a fun year. We’ll be posting about what we have coming as it happens.

What bands from the midwest would you suggest people check out?

EL: Church Tongue, Ghost Key, Sermos, Dead Leaves, We Love You, Kayak Jones, The Tiny Ugly Germs, and Safe House are all tight.

HM: The Cardboard Swords, Homesafe, Forest Green, Human After All, Charmer, Secret Grief, Tiny Kingdoms, and Backpacks are all worth checking out. Great bands.
