‘Friends With Benefits’, the new three track EP by Brighton based ska collective The Meow Meows, is all about dancing. Stemming from a Fuel Theatre project commissioning ten acts to create music that makes people move, the title track led to the creation of the other two songs that make up the release.

Continuing their political commentary which they honed on their previous LP, ‘Somehow We Met’, ‘Friends With Benefits’ combines the upbeat ska sound with provocative lyrics. Throughout the short running time, The Meow Meows tackle the Tories, the tabloids and inner demons.

The EP has once again been recorded by legendary Brighton producer Prince Fatty, who has also worked alongside The Meow Meows’ touring partners The Skints. It will see release via Jump Up! Records on the 13th July 2015. According to the collective, ‘Friends With Benefits’ is “music to dance AND riot to.”
