Listen to ‘Heartmelter’, the new single from Radler

By Glen Bushell

It’s getting hard to keep up with the amount of quality music coming out of the Pacific Northwest right now. So much so, that we are starting to think there is something in the water. The latest addition you can add the list of growing talent is Portland-based indie punk band, Radler. Today we are bringing you an exclusive listen to their newest track, ‘Heartmelter’.

It’s the second single taken from their forthcoming debut album, ‘Cool’, which the band say “was written intending not to waste a second; to be bold, but not overstay its welcome.” That urgency is exposed in ‘Heartmelter’, which provides a perfect snapshot of the Radler’s intentions.

It is short, sharp, and to the point, which is, as Radler explain, the point of their music. “As a rule, each Radler song is written to only be as long as it needs to be – and no more,” they say. “Approaching pop songwriting from this angle, each section of each track hopes to be a contender for “best part”, written with the intent to craft a supremely listenable collection of songs.”

‘Cool’ is due for release via Match & Tinder Records, and available to pre-order now. Check out more from Radler over at their Facebook page.
