GUEST PLAYLIST: Hunter & The Bear

By Glen Bushell

Having toured with everyone from Eric Clapton to Van Morrison, and with a penchant for driving rock riffs, Hunter & The Bear have been quickly making a name for themselves on the road. They sat down to curate a playlist of their top ten tour bus anthems.

01 Little Feat – ‘Spanish Moon’

Amazing live version off the album ‘Waiting For Columbus’. We love anything by this band, their groove is amazing, and it get’s us strutting about.

02 Biffy Clyro – ‘Animal Style’

Mon the biff! These guys have been a huge inspiration to us and are a powerful music force. If you’re looking to get pumped up pre stage then this one’s got to be on the list!

03 Royal Blood – ‘Out Of The Black’

Such an impressive duo, loads of volume and riff! Worthy of a good air drum.

04 Winery Dogs – ‘Elevate’

We first saw these heroes in New York. Chris got us geeking out to them in no time. Serious musical chops and amazing song writing. It’s just ridiculous what they do.

05 Kings Of Leon – ‘Waste A Moment’

For such an established band now it’s great to see the song writing is still on point. We’ve had this song stuck in our heads for weeks.

06 AC/DC – ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’

I mean, does one need a reason to stick some AC/DC in the mix? Timeless.

07 Toto – ‘Rosanna’

A cheesy option maybe, but for band tightness and mental stabs this is a tuuuuuuuuune!

08 Sia – ‘Chandelier’

That girls got some pipes. Nice to have something different from the usual crunchy guitars, such an impressive song.

09 Mr Big – ‘Just Take My Heart’

Everyone loves a good power ballad, especially with a bad ass key change.

10 Band Of Horses – ‘Funeral’

Great song, awesome live sound and an amazing vocal to sing along to pre stage.

Hunter & The Bear’s debut album, ‘Paper Heart’, is available now.
