First play of the new Black Sites track, ‘Locked Out – Shut Down’

By Glen Bushell

As Chicago metal titans Black Sites ready the release of their new album, ‘In Monochrome’, we have the pleasure of unveiling their latest single, ‘Locked out – Shut Down’.

“On an album with a multitude of influences, this track captures the heavier end of our sound,” says the band of the track. “Besides an obvious tip of the hat to Voivod, the song was also inspired by the Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey soundtrack, and really any band from the 1980s who had drums or cymbals suspended by chains. Lyrically, this one is about reaping the consequences of one’s own actions (or inaction, more accurately). We hope you enjoy the track as much as we enjoyed writing this description.”

‘In Monochrome’ is released on February 17th via Mascot Label Group, and is available to pre-order now.
