Chasing Cadence conclude their video trilogy with ‘It’s Not The Length That Counts, It’s What You Do With It’

By Glen Bushell

If there is one band who are pushing to do things differently, it’s Hertfordshire alt-rock band, Chasing Cadence. Having already released two videos that follow the same storyline, we are bringing you the concluding part of the trilogy with their new single, ”It’s Not The Length That Counts, It’s What You Do With It”.

“I was listening to a lot of heavier stuff at the time and really wanted to write a riff that played around with some interesting time signatures,” explains guitarist, Rob Barlow. “Once I’d completed the instrumentation, I started writing the lyrics and immediately had an idea of what the music video should be. The lyrics represent a confrontation between two guys over their mutual lover, one being an inmate and one being a visitor. Ross Hannon (our video director) took this idea and bought it to life in the video you see here which in turn concluded our video trilogy beautifully.”

”It’s Not The Length That Counts, It’s What You Do With It” is taken from their latest EP, ‘Destroy Something Beautiful’. You can catch Chasing Cadence as they open for Press To Meco and Shvpes at the Boston Music Room in London on November 2nd.
