Listening to Your Loss definitely won’t be

We already know that Elway and Chumped are pretty great. So when some of those guys come together, plus drummer Miles (don’t forget Miles), the result is unsurprisingly brilliant. Their eight-track debut ‘Midlife Crisis Tropical Vacation’ blends subtle hints of indie-rock with a whole lot of emo heart and a punk undercurrent, offering its own distinctive sound. Best of all, it’s bursting with feeling.

‘Binary Stars’, the album’s comparable epic venture and lead single, puts all their various styles on a plate. Opening with guitar tones and vocals that wouldn’t be out of place on mainstream radio, the track subsequently provides a sucker-punch of emotion. It instantly proves that Your Loss are more than just a sum of their parts. Take notice.
