Young and Heartless stream new track, ‘Punch Drunk (LOA)’

By Ben Tipple

Young and Heartless are streaming a new track via Spotify, ahead of the release of ‘Stay Away’ late next month.

“‘Punch Drunk (LOA)’ was inspired by a seemingly never ending staircase/labyrinth found in Danielewski’s ‘House of Leaves’,” vocalist and guitarist Jeremy Henninger says of the new song, “in which the characters are convinced the staircase is leading to somewhere but all that is found is identical rooms and anticlimactic surprises. In essence, the song describes dealing with the simplicity and brevity of life while desperately trying to appear calm and cool. Fear that your life is leaving you quicker than you would like, while giving pieces of yourself away, hoping to seem normal.”

‘Stay Away’ will be available from the 25th March via Hopeless Records.
