The Stereo State break up

By Tom Aylott

The Stereo State have called it a day. The band formed in 2008, and most recently released an EP called ‘Crossing Canyons EP last year. If you’re going to Fest this year, you can expect to see them before they break up. A Statement from the band can be seen below.

“It kills every one of us to say this but unfortunately The Stereo State will not continue past the end of the year. Andy has decided to move on to bigger and better things and we will not play under the moniker “The Stereo State” without him. We were lucky enough to pick up the Usher Raymond of punk rock to start this band. Gabe, Matt, and I have been playing music together since middle school and we will NEVER stop. Pat is the newest member of our family and I hope he will continue on future endeavors with us (whatever that may be). Can’t stop, won’t stop! The Stereo State will be playing a benefit show in Chicopee MA for the Amanda Plasse benefit (rest in peace) on September 7th. We will also be playing FEST12 in Gainsville FL. Thank you everyone for your support, a place to crash, a beer, an arm wrestling match against a dwarf…anything and everything. You all have been the best. That is why we’ve been hustlin for all these years. Cheers, and thank you again. Let’s go out with a bang! From all sides of our hearts we love you all and we will see you soon.
