Sum 41 sign to Hopeless Records

By Ben Tipple

As Hopeless Records continuing their signing spree, veteran pop-punks Sum 41 are the latest act to join the ranks. Now in their 20th year, the band are gearing up for the release of their follow-up to 2011’s ‘Screaming Bloody Murder’.

“Itโ€™s crazy to think that we started this band 20 years ago and so much has happened, and it all happened really fast,” Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley says. “When I look back at everything it still feels like itโ€™s all so recent. I think this a good thing because it still feels like there is still so much to do… which is why I am excited for a new album and to be releasing it with Hopeless Records.”

Having headlined Groezrock earlier this month, Sum 41 are now preparing for a stint on the US Vans Warped Tour, kicking off on the 22nd June in Anchorage (Road to Warped) and lasting until the 7th August in Pomona.
