UK ska-punkers [spunge] are set to release a new single, their first for B-Unique Records, just in time for their forthcoming UK tour.
In an email to their mailing list, Dave Juste, on behalf of the band’s management, wrote: “We’ve finished recording the first four tracks at Sawmills studios on Tuesday for our next album and we’ve chosen ‘Jump On Demand’ as the first release with our new label B-Unique Records.
“Some of you may remember it from our last tour in November when we aired it at those shows. The single will be released on Monday May 20th to coincide with the tour dates below.
“Incidentally, the other tracks we recorded were ‘Its Over’, ‘Too Little Too Late’ and our tribute to you guys ‘The Story So Far‘.
“All of these are totally new and we think you’ll like them. From our point of view we think these are the first recordings to ever really catch what we’re about and we can’t wait to start on the rest of the recording of the album.
“We start recording the ‘B’ sides next Tuesday in Worcester and we’ll be doing a cover of ‘Olivers Army’, updated versions of ‘Best Mates Girlfriend’ and ‘Whinger’ and a brand new track that we wrote today, and yes I do mean today(!), that we haven’t even named yet!
“We should be filming a video for the single in April and we’ll let you know all about that when it’s arranged.”
The band will also be heading out on tour in may with Bowling For Soup, and on selected dates Farse and Gash.
