Right, thanks to everyone who has emailed me with info about the [spunge] split from B-Unique – there are too many to mention personally, but you know who you are. As neither party seems to want to go on the record, this is all the info I have so far. As I have said before, if representatives from either party want to go on the record to explain, get in touch. But, it is true, [spunge] have ‘parted ways’ with B-Unique and are currently labelless. It is believed that the two parties had a big falling out, with ‘difficulties’ arising from the band over a lack of promotion and financial support from the label, despite selling out the vast majority of their pre-Christmas tour. We have been told by a number of sources that the label was not happy with sales of [spunge]’s latest release, or with reviews of the record. Punktastic believes that the band are now writing for a new record and hope to buy back any recordings that have already been made. I would like to emphasise that this has NOT been confirmed as of yet by either party.
