Sleep On It release new single and video

By Punktastic

Not content with giving us one taster of upcoming album ‘Pride & Disaster’ in the shape of lead single ‘Under The Moment’, Chicago four-piece Sleep On It have now released second single ‘Hold Your Breath’ – and, unsurprisingly, it’s a stunner.

Channelling mid-2000s pop punk vibes in the vein of Valencia and Hit The Lights but still sounding super fresh, it’s a truly mood-boosting, punchy track, and one that will help cement Sleep On It’s place among pop punk royalty.

A compilation of shots from life on the road, the video that accompanies the song captures all the joy of a live show for both the band and fans; “Musically, this was the first song I ever wrote while on tour,” says guitarist TJ Horansky. “It was back in November while we were on the road with Broadside and With Confidence. I demoed the instrumentals in Maryland and Zech wrote vocals while we were at the Palladium in Worchester.”

“The energy of the song was inspired by our live show,” he continues. “Since we were on tour and playing every night, I was just in that mindset. I remember showing the guys in the other bands on the tour and getting their feedback. The music video is a logical encapsulation of that energy we put in to our live show.”

‘Pride & Disaster’ will be released on September 13 and can be preordered here, with a variety of merch bundles available.
