Progressive cult metal heroes SikTh have signed to Peaceville Records, and will be releasing their new ‘Opacities’ mini-album on the 4th December 2015. It marks their first new music since 2006’s ‘Death of a Dead Day’.

Vocalist Mikee Goodman has described the record as the best music the band have ever made, stating “musically, vocally and lyrically it is our most complete work. We’ve pushed our sound to the next level.”

“It’s more thoughtful, heavier, more refined. A lot of heart and soul went into the making of it – this record is for our fans who’ve been so loyal,” guitarist Dan Weller adds, with their 2008 hiatus in mind.

Daniel P Carter will host the official premiere of new track ‘Philistine Philosophies’ this Sunday on BBC Radio 1 (from 19:00GMT).
