Ok It’s actually relatively old news, but I thought it was so cool i’d post it up anyway. Revelation have been getting ice creams off the same guy for a number of years, and now he’s decided on a career change they thought they’d pay homage. The item on the Revelation page is as follows:-
‘November 8, 2001: Today we pay tribute to a great man. For 3 years Alfonso “Ice Cream Homie” Zavala has been delivering ice cream, soda, snacks and loads of other treats to the employees of Revelation Records. At approximately 4:30 everyday we could count on the Homie pulling up behind the warehouse and purchasing a tasty treat or two to help pull us through the remainder of the day. Well, recent developments have caused the Homie to take a step forward with his life and seize a great opportunity for a new job, thus retiring from the ice cream biz. On November 8, the day of the Homie’s last delivery run, Revelation employee Larry Ransom was lucky enough to ride along on the delivery route and witness first hand the trials, tribulations and rewards of being an a real life ice cream homie. Larry learned all the tricks and by the end of the day, he was driving the truck and making sales. Upon arriving at Revelation (the last stop on the route) the Homie was welcomed with a huge celebration and showered with gifts and praise for all his years of hard work. Everyone here at Revelation wishes Alfonso the best of luck with his new career and thanks him for his years of dedication and supply of treats..
