The 8 winning bands who will take to the Download Festival Red Bull Studios Live stage have been announced, following a two month long competition.
Bands were asked to enter the competition by posting a song to the Red Bull Live at Download website, before the top 100 were deliberated over by a judging panel made up of influential figures in the alternative music industry.
After another round of voting, the top bands have now been whittled down to eight – six of which were selected by public vote and two of which who were selected by the judges as wildcars.
Taking to the stage between the 13th and 15th June will be:

Life on Standby
Adelphia
Create To Inspire (Wildcard)
Chinese Missy (Wildcard)
Download Festival sees Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park and Aerosmith head up a wealth of alternative veterans and upstarts. Tickets are still available.
