Despite flyers being handed out at the Weezer gig in Manchester on Tuesday night, Weezer‘s fourth studio album ‘Maladroit’ has not been scheduled for release.
Flyers at the gig suggested that the CD would hit the shops on April 29, but according to the bands official website, www.weezer.com this is not the case.
A statement on the site reads:
“Maladroit note: Despite what you may have been hearing in the press and on the radio, there is NO release date for Maladroit at this time.
“We can’t imagine who would be spreading these rumors… *cough* …but they are indeed false. When there is any new word on the situation with the album, you’ll see it here first. ”
Having heard all of the new songs, I can safely say the album will rock, whenever it gets an official release date…
