“So this is pretty annoying – we just got a call saying that Lightyear WILL NOT be supporting GREEN DAY after all at Newcastle Telewest Arena on Monday 15th July (tonight).
“It’s all really embarrassing cos on Friday by Green Day‘s agent that Lightyear were booked, confirmed how much they would be paid etc and at nearly 1pm on the day of the gig we find out we’ve been cancelled.
“A band called Pinhole will be doing it – good luck to em, hope they enjoy it. All in all I think you will all agree that the organisation here is pretty awful and I am very sorry that we cancelled Lightyear‘s York gig for this. Everything is in a bit of mess for today now but I am unsure who’s playing in York now but Da Skywalkers / RedLightsFlash / Five Knuckle / Kenisia will all be there. Be good to see some of you too.”
