Hidden Mothers release debut single ‘The Longest Journey Yet’

By Yasmin Brown

Hidden Mothers are a 5-piece post-black metal/shoegaze band from Sheffield, UK and while they’re just starting out, they have a lot to offer – an undeniable fact highlighted in the release of their very first single ‘The Longest Journey Yet’.

Fans of Deafheaven, Alcest, Downfall Of Gaia, Converge, Oathbreaker and Amenra will likely find some enjoyment in the band’s dynamic mixture of ambient instrumentalism, scorching blastbeats and harrowing vocals – a combination of elements that will make your heart feel heavy in a way you can’t quite explain.

The track was recorded in May 2019 by Pijn/Leeched guitarist Joe Clayton at No Studio in Manchester and mastered by Katie Tavini and, with an EP set for release late 2019/early 2020, there’s plenty more where that came from.

Keep an eye on Punktastic for tour announcements, coming soon.

The single is now available to stream on Bandcamp now, as well as iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Play Music and every other streaming platform you can think of.
