Billie Joe Armstrong’s motley crew have been announced as headliners of a special punk festival organised by Nottingham Rock City.
In a press statement the organisers said: “Rock City are pleased to announce that Green Day have just confirmed as headliners at one of our summer festivals.
“They’ll be playing at Nottingham’s Wollaton Park on Saturday 20th July.
“Tickets will cost £25 (subject to a booking fee) and will be on sale from Wednesday 13th March. Support acts are still to be confirmed.

Rumours are already abound that Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World and Saves The Day will be amongst the supports, recreating the US ‘Pop Disaster’ tour.
However, as of this moment, this is just pure speculation.
