Football + Punk = Heaven?

Something for the weekend, sir? Well if you live up north and fancy something to do this weekend, nip to Leeds on Saturday for a football and music day of fun.

The date for your diaries is this Saturday (July 20) for the punk rock 5 a side tournament and gig in Leeds.
Date: Saturday 20th July
Venues: Hyde Park Leeds for the footy and The Packhorse, Woodhouse Lane,
Leeds for the gig.

First up the football, where a number of punk bands will battle it out in their very own match of the day at the city‘s Hyde Park, before everyone piles doen to The Packhorse on Woodhouse Lane for 7.30pm, where the real action begins.

Bands:Jerry-Built (Keyboard driven melodic hardcore on Firefly Recordings)
Codify (New project from the Dugong Camp)
Hi-Tec Jet (Shouty emo kids from London)
Appease (Emo Pop-Punk from Manchester on Bravestar Records)
The Killerest Expression (Frenetic Melodic rock from In At The Deep End
Records)

Footy: 5 a side tournament starts at around 12:00 in Hyde Park.. there are
about 16 teams competing consisting of various collectives and bands.
There will also be various stalls for food, music and other shenanigans!!!

Entry for the gig is £4, so there are no excuses…
