London via Southampton rock and roll four-piece Dead! have been hard at work booking their own DIY tour, taking place ahead of their appearances at The Great Escape Festival and Download this summer.
“Booking our own shows and having control over where we play means we get to go places that we know we have fans and we know people are waiting to see us,” the band explain. “Most of them are the people who have been with us since the start and we won’t forgot about them. Lots of venues don’t respond well to bands phoning up and wanting to book their own shows, they all want to use trusted promoters, but the venues we’re going to realise how important it is to help the growth of young bands. In some towns we couldn’t find any suitable venues so we’ve just hired a rehearsal room!”
