UK upstarts Caffeine look like they have a very busy 2002 lined up.
Guitarist J contacted Punktastic to tell all about what is going on in Camp Caffeine, and also to tell us where you will be able to catch them on tour in the next few months.
The guys have just signed to Straight Ahead Records, a Canadian punk label, and they will be doing pressing, distributing and promoting for “Arouse Me” which will be available in the US and Canada on April 28th and on import in Ireland, UK and Europe as well.
Due to this new label they will be on the “Planet Of The Punks Vol. 2” compilation with lots of other bands from the underground e.g. Mad Caddies, Good Riddance, Osker, Union 13, Bombshell Rocks and others from different labels e.g. Fat Wreck, Epitah, Kung Fu etc.. It’ll be available from February 28, go get it!
Some of you may have been at the filming of the live segment of the “Tiny” video which will be getting some rotation in North America from March onwards, and you can download it now from the Caffeine site!!!
The guys are featured on the new Playstation2 game ‘Scottie’ available Summer 2002, it has On The Road Again and Tini as main music to the game.
Another Compilation ‘Compunktion’ from Sucka Punch records features 20 songs from the UKs best ska-punk bands including [spunge], King Prawn and of course Caffeine, catalogue number is SUCKACD007. This is available now.
Also coming soon is a compilation from ‘Jamdown Records’ …more news on this in March 2002.
