Busdrivers announce UK tour!

Punktastic can exclusively bring you details of a very special ska invasion set to take over the UK in August!

Gainesville skanksters The Busdrivers, currently searching for a new vocalist and guitarist, and the UK’s very own Shootin Goon, are to embark on a massive UK tour.

The Busdrivers, signed to our good friends at Good Clean Fun Records, released their kick-ass debut album ‘Missed This Little Trend’ last year, and it’s certainly one to pick up.

The dates, which you won’t find ANYWHERE else just yet, are as follows:

August
3rd Sat Harlow Square
4th Sun Leicester Charlotte
5th Mon Heckmondwicke Scully’s
6th Tue Glasgow Cathouse (plus special guests MISLED YOUTH)
9th Fri Peterborough Met Lounge
10th Sat Worcester Crown
11th Sun Cardiff Clwb Ifor Bach
12th Mon Southampton Nexus
13th Tue Brighton Pressure Point
14th Wed London Verge

Meanwhile, Erin Weldon, vocalist and trumpet player in The Busdrivers, emailed Punktastic to assure us that the tour IS still going ahead, despite the bombshell that Sterling and Dan had quit the band.

Erin said: “I wish I could tell you who’s taking over vocals for us! As of now we’re auditioning. Dan and Sterling leaving didn’t have anything to do with each other, it’s just really unfortunate timing.

“So, we’re auditioning for vocals, guitar, AND bass all at once. The UK tour is almost three months away, so hopefully that will be plenty of time to find new members.

“I’m super-excited about the UK tour. I think it’s going to be a great experience for everyone involved, and of course we owe everything to Matt Redd. (Good Clean Fun Records head-honcho) He’s been fantastic to us.”

So, make sure you get down to a show because these guys are awesome and you will not be disappointed!
