Alcoa (Derek Archambault) to release ‘Thank You’ EP on tape

By Ben Tipple

Defeater vocalist Derek Archambault launched a PledgeMusic campaign earlier in the year to raise funds for his urgently needed hip replacement surgery (count yourselves lucky NHS folk), which ultimately led to Defeater being unable to play alongside The Wonder Years across the US.

The ‘Thank You’ EP – released under the Alcoa moniker – has also sprung out of the campaign. The five-track EP sees Archambault cover friends from the hardcore and punk scene, including Make Do And Men and I Am The Avalanche.

Beach Community Records will be releasing the EP on limited edition tape, with 50 available in orange and 200 available in black.

The tape will be released on the 15th December, with pre-orders available now.
