AFI will NOT be playing this years Essential Festival at London’s Hackney Marshes, despite reports to the contrary.
Magazine articles and some internet sites, including Punktastic, had published rumours that the band would be appearing on the punk stage of the event on August 2.
But a spokesperson for the band has shot down these claims, stating that the band will be holed up in a recording studio in California at the time.
The good news, however, is that the band are expected to play a few shows in this country before the end of the year.
