I’ve seen and read many things…but this is hilarious. I won’t pass comment on what I actually think about this, although the words ‘major’, ‘label’ and ‘sellouts’ spring to mind…
Straight from the [spunge] email list: “Hi Folks, we’ve just been told the midweek chart position by our label and apparently we’re number 42 after two days sale, just outside the top 40 by a mere 38 sales. So we’re asking you to really make sure that if you’re planning to buy it, make sure you get the new single, ‘Jump On Demand’, during the next three days and try and squeeze us into the charts so we can annoy the mainstream media even further with a dollop of UK punk.
“To those of many hundreds of you who have already bought the single we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and to those who are planning to buy it then please try and get it this week.”
