The court in Washington upheld a ban on guitars, keyboards or other electric instruments for federal prisoners, saying it did not violate their constitutional right to express themselves musically. Inmates Brett Kimberlin and Darrell Rice had challenged the ban, saying they wanted to play electric guitars at their Maryland jail. Only harmonicas are allowed in the Cumberland prison.”
