Isis vocalist Aaron Turner has formed a new band with Baptists drummer Nick Yacyshyn and Botch/Russian Circles bassist Brian Cook. Sumac is their name and they’ll be releasing their debut album ‘The Deal’ in the new year – which was mixed by Kurt from Converge. More info as we get it here at PT, but right now we can share Turner’s quote on the band:
‘We are pursuing this as a fully functional band rather than side project, with plans to play live in the coming year and continue with further writing/recording thereafter.’
