False Friend are like a German Strike Anywhere. They play fast and frenetic punk rock with a huge dose of melody and they’re as impressive. Powerful vocals, heartfelt lyrics and passionate performances throughout, this record is fast and furious and enjoyable throughout. ‘Take A Look Around’ has a little Good Riddance feel to it, while ‘Hear Their Voice’ reminds me of bands like Comeback Kid and No Trigger. Sound apetising? Then, without delay, check this band out. They’re refreshingly passionate – a great start to 2009.
