Chaos Days – /All or Nothing split EP

By paul

Both of these bands have improved no end over the last 18 months to two years. It’s actually pretty incredible at how much both have grown – I remember seeing AON about four years ago thinking they were OK, but their recent recorded output has been light years ahead of what they’ve done in the past. Chaos Days are arguably even further ahead, cementing their place among the premier ‘underground’ UK pop-punk bands. All Aboard put out this split in about November and it’s a timely reminder as to why both bands are growing in popularity.

I think both bands have grown in confidence and learned a few tricks from their US peers they’ve toured with. There’s certainly the odd The Wonder Years inspired moment here and that’s no bad thing. The pace is mixed up well, the melodies are here in abundance and everything is in the right place. If you’re already a fan of either band you’ll love this – if you’re not, get this release and get into it. There’s only one way these bands are going – and that’s even further up.
