Bearing that in mind, this mob are very, very competent musicians and clearly onto a winner. The songs are very well structured and the instrumentation performed to a high standard. And while there After The Ordeal – A Means to an End There’s no two ways about it: After the Ordeal sounds like ‘Casually Dressed…’ era Funeral for a Friend, and not just in an inspired by/obvious comparison type way either. In ‘A Means to an End’ the band has created four tracks that sound High Five Drive – Full Blast High Five Drive is pretty much an unknown commodity in the UK; a solidly impressive band with an ethos of hard work and hard touring, yet somehow managing to remain under the radar of just about everyone. As I write this the band is finishing Offcuts – White Horse and the Unicorn Sometimes a record comes along and it just stumps you. No matter how many listens you give it you just fail to get a handle on what the band is attempting, ending up perplexed every time you try to infiltrate the thought process.
