Watch the video for Lastoneout’s ‘He’s In A Bad Way’

Plymouth based Lastoneout aren’t afraid to let their influences shine brightly. Enthused by mid-00s emo, the band cite the likes of Funeral For A Friend, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy and Story Of The Year as invaluable to the creation of their forthcoming mini-album, ‘This Was Never My Story, It’s Yours’, an unashamed attempt to keep that fire burning.

Lead track, ‘He’s In A Bad Way’, takes various elements of those bands’ sound, particularly the retrospective dual vocal approach. It pairs this with a serious theme, trying to support those who are struggling to help themselves. The track is about finding light in the dark. Represented in the accompanying clip, the video also acts as a farewell to the house where ‘This Was Never My Story, It’s Yours’ was recorded.

“We are really excited to finally be releasing this video, it’s something that we really wanted to push ourselves with and make something that tells much more of a story this time, and it’s come out perfectly,” says guitarist Liam West. “We can’t wait for people to see it and really hope that it gets everyone pumped for the mini album.”

‘This Was Never My Story, It’s Yours’ will be released on the 4th November, and is available to pre-order now through BandCamp. For more on Lastoneout, head to their official website and Facebook.
