Watch Forrest’s surrealist video for ‘Luna’

By Ben Tipple

Taken from last year’s ‘Soluna‘ LP, Forrest are imitating their gently unsettling sound in the video for ‘Luna’. Filmed at band member Dan’s farm, the distorted, manipulated and often oddly framed imagery reflects the track’s foreboding sound and theme. As Forrest’s Ryan explains, the track itself speaks of “experiences with sleep paralysis and the dreams it causes.”

“Working with Harry was great,” he says of director Harry Steel. “He knew what we were going for and contributed further ideas which we feel really helped bring the song to life.”

Alongside the new video, Forrest will be unveiling ‘Soluna’ on tape via Sunday Drive Records in the US. Copies will also be available from the band at shows across the UK. Limited to 25 of each colour – 50 in total – each cassette will come with a handmade lyric booklet.

The tapes can be pre-ordered via Sunday Drive Records now.
