Stream the new ‘Apparitions’ EP by Commonweather

‘Apparitions’, the third EP by Chicago quintet Commonweather, is as dark in sound as it is in theme. Channeling elements of strong influences Balance & Composure and Citizen, their dense emo meets fuzzy shoegaze sound sits on top of an equally ominous theme. Track titles such as ‘Stranger In Flesh’, ‘Dismantle Me’ and ‘Never Whole’ hint at the heavily introspective theme presented on the EP.

“‘Apparitions’ as a whole, really centers around the concept of loss, whether it’s the loss of a life, your mental stability, or of a relationship,” vocalist and guitarist Justin Olin explains. “It’s about the apparitions that constantly haunt and follow people through life, and how the demons life thrown at you can make someone feel like they’re becoming a hollow shell of their former self. Mainly, we hope that ‘Apparitions’ is relatable to people who have felt this way and hope that they can find some solace or comfort in knowing that they’re not alone.”

Commonweather will release ‘Apparitions’ on the 29th April 2016. In the meantime, it is available to stream in full below:
